DESCRIPTION:At this Vision and Action meeting\, there will be an update on the current projects that are in progress around Stranraer \n\n\n\nThe Vision and Action meetings are becoming the place to be informed about the major projects that are being developed to shape the future of Stranraer. \n\n\n\nIn June\, the community spotlight goes to Joshua Paterson at the Stranraer Development Trust\, sharing their Youth Engagement and all the support given to the youth of Stranraer from the SDT. Grant Coltart is coming back to share more information about the Active Travel plans for Stranraer. Come prepared with your questions and let’s get some great answers. The world is changing and active travel is coming. \n\n\n\nNext\, we have Sarah MacDonald from the South of Scotland Destination Alliance\, coming to share what is happening around tourism and changes that are being made that will create great opportunities for the tourist industry in Stranraer and the Rhins. \n\n\n\nThe big questions to ask yourself are\, how are you going to benefit from these future changes and how can you be best prepared? How can you be prepared to enjoy them as a recipient and how can you best benefit from them as a business owner? \n\n\n\nChange is happening\, be prepared\, be inspired and be ready to take action. There is no point waiting until everything is finished before you decide what these changes mean to you or your business. Now is the time. \n\n\n\nThe Kirkpatrick Bike Sculpture is being placed at the end of the West Pier. This is brought to you by the South of Scotland Destination Alliance\, D&G Council\, South of Scotland Enterprise\, Creative Stranraer and Stena Line. Cycling is a big industry and the start of the Kirkpatrick Coast to Coast bike route starting in Stranraer is a great opportunity for local businesses. Sarah MacDonald from the SSDA will be joining us for a brainstorming session to help you be creative and make the most of this opportunity\, either in business or personally. \n\n\n\nYou will have seen all the changes at the George Hotel on George Street and may be wondering where the project is at and what is happening. Your answers will all be answered at the V+A meeting by Sarah Jane Allsop. Sarah has been working on this project from its conception and she is now excited to share where things are at and the plans for the George Hotel. \n\n\n\nJoin us to look at how we can work together to take full advantage of these changes in the town.
