SUMMARY:Cycle Festival Artwork Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:New exhibition! \n\n\n\nStranraer had its first Cycle Festival back in June and our Arts and Engagement Officer Janet Jones visited all twelve Primary Schools in and around Stranraer\, asking pupils to draw their idea of a ‘future bike’\, with the chance of it being the poster art for the festival’s poster. \n\n\n\nWith so many talented pupils\, Creative Stranraer came to the conclusion that it wasn’t fair if only one of these drawings was shared for everyone to see and decided to hold a Cycle Festival Competition Exhibition in the Hub. \n\n\n\nMake sure you pop along to the Hub to see all the amazing artwork! \n\n\n\nAvailable to view from 12pm – 4pm from the 8th-10th of August.

DESCRIPTION:Natasha from Bhan Wellness has been painting and drawing ever since she was little\, however\, during the Covid lockdown period she began developing some techniques for drawing portraits. Natasha’s background is in health and social care\, and holistic therapies because of this\, she enjoys sharing craft workshops with others as a creative outlet which can help promote positive wellbeing. \n\n\n\nNatasha’s classes are intended as a beginner introduction to portraits\, however\, everyone from ages 10+ is more than welcome to come and join the group. SUMMARY:Songwriters in the Round
DESCRIPTION:Stacey Joy has been working with a group of individuals over the last several months\, helping them hone their skills and building their confidence. Now the group invites the community to watch them perform in a Songwriter Showcase in a “Songwriters in the Round” setting. \n\n\n\n“Songwriters in the Round\,” was established in Nashville and has become popular in songwriting festivals in the United States and beyond. It’s a great way to present songs and is very different from the traditional settings of what would be expected in a bar.
